Exemptions from Foreign Institutes

Exemptions from CIMA

Following exemptions awarded by the CIMA (Web site www.cimaglobal.com) to the students of the Institute, who have passed the final Examinations under 1994 syllabus :

STAGE - 1

Financial Accounting Fundamentals - FAF
Cost Accounting & Quantitative Methods - CQM
Economic Environment - ECN
Business Environment & Information Technology - BSN

STAGE - 2

Financial Accounting - FNA
Operation Cost Accounting - OCA
Management Science Applications - MSA

In addition to the above Papers, ICWAI students, who have registered with CIMA after July 28th, 1999 would get exemption from the following Paper from 1999 Examination of CIMA :

Business and Company Law{LAW}
Business Taxation{BTX}

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK has revised its syllabus effective from May, 2001 . CIMA has awarded exemption in the following papers of its curriculum to the ICWAI Members vide their Communication dated May 3, 2001 as given below :

Exemptions granted by the Institute of Internal Auditors (11A) , Florida, USA

The Institute of Internal Auditors Florida USA ,has awarded exemptions in part IV of CIA examination to ICWAI Final passed candidates.(Web site : www.theiia.org)

Exemptions granted by  Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario, CANADA

The Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario, Canada (CGA,Ontario)(Web site: ww.cga.ontario.org) has awarded exemption to ICWAI qualified candidates in 13 papers in Level 1,2,3,4 of its curriculum and offered the challenge examination privilege in one paper out of 22 papers of its curriculum.

Exemption granted by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Glasgow.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Glasgow has awarded exemption in Foundation Stage of its examination to ICWAI Final passed candidates.(Web site : www.accaglobal.com)

Exemption granted by Chartered Insurance Institute, London

The Chartered Insurance Institute, London, UK(E mail: customer.serv@cii.co.uk) has granted exemption to the Members of this Institute from the paper 940 Accounting and finance for managers in insurance of CII curriculum. This was in response to our earlier letter of Director (Studies) bearing no DS-3(AW/6/2001) dt. 03.06.01 to CII:

 

Exemption granted by the the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, USA (CMA,USA)

The Institute of Certified Management Accountants ,USA (CMA,USA) awarded exemption to ICWAI candidates in Part I of its revised curriculum w.e.f 1.7.2004.(Web site: http://www.imanet.org)

Exemption granted by the Stuart Graduate School of Business under Illinois Institute of Technology, USA

Stuart Graduate School of Business has allowed ICWAI passed candidates (Bachelor Degree holders) for admission in their MBA Course provided they have passed GMAT examinations with a minimum score of 550.( E-Mail: hassan@stuart.iit.edu )

Exemption granted by the Kelley School of Business under Indiana University, USA

Kelley School of Business of Indiana University, USA has allowed ICWAI Final Examination passed candidates (Bachelor Degree holder) to take admission to Kelley School of Business MBA Program at Indiana University, USA provided they fulfill other usual conditions like adequate score in GMAT and TOEFL. Edinburgh Business School under The Graduate School of Business, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland has granted exemption in Accounting and Quantitative Methods of its MBA curriculum to the ICAWI qualified candidates.
